April Showers Bring May Flowers

Unless you live in New England, where April snow lends way to May showers. In any case, it's still on the cold side out. But here we are in May and celebrating Rosa's birthday at Coppa in the South End.

Coppa is on the small side, but it's a cute little space. I would just like a little more space between tables. We were seated right away though, which is always nice.

Sangria - really good and refreshing.
Delicious bread.
Our plate of 3 cheeses, with crackers.
Italian grinder - delicious. And that bread, yum.
 Salumi, on a piggy board.
Polpo e farro - baby octopus and farro salad. I did not care for this at all. The octopus was too cold and chewy.
Arancini - okay. I've had better. I think the outside was too hard to give it much of anything other than a hard texture, since they're on the small side.
Polpette - these meatballs were really good.
Crostini misti - ehhh. The pate was okay. Perhaps I was too full at this point, but the crostini was so hard, I couldn't really get over it.

The salumi and cheeses were great. But the wait on the salumi was a bit insane. Service overall was great, but food was slow to come out. I'd come here for salumi, cheese, and maybe get a pasta or pizza next time.

Happy Birthday, Rosa!
