Playing a Bit of Catch Up

So...I've been busy. And lazy. But pretty busy, I swear. Hopefully, I remember the meals I've had.

Blue Asia Cafe in Allston:

Tai's favorite, salt and pepper fried chicken with basil over rice.
Spicy stewed beef soup with dumpling - I prefer the noodle over the dumpling. Too much meat, maybe.

State Street Provisions in the Financial District/Aquarium area (I wish I had a bigger appetite, as a lot of other dishes looked interesting):

This bread is so good.
Green leaf salad.
House-made rigatoni - good but not as good as it looks.
Burrata - needed waaaay more crostini than provided.

Myers + Chang in the South End (so underwhelming in so many ways):

Papaya salad - okay, but a tiny rice bowl portion.
Pork belly buns - I actually quite liked this. Perfect blend of bao, pork, and sauce.
Indonesian fried rice - flavorful, but perhaps too much flavor?
Prawns - I didn't eat these but they were very salty.
Kalbi - decent, but a bit dry. The kim chi was supposedly too sweet.
Wok-charred udon with chicken - not enough udon.
Mussels - good broth, but tiny mussels. Like "is this worth the time and effort it takes to eat a tiny morsel" small.
Beef chow fun - sorry for the awful picture. This had way too much sauce. Also again, not enough noodle. Meh.

Trade at South Station (pretentious, with snippy service if you're not ordering entrees; stick to the bar):

Roasted cauliflower with beet hummus -  surprisingly really good (I'm no fan of beets, but I liked the hummus).
Salmon poke - could have used more plantain chips, but otherwise really good.
Roasted sweet potatoes - delicious. Even better with the tomato sauce from the dish below.
Chicken meatballs -  the sauce made the dish.
Four cheese flatbread - again, much better than I expected.
Grilled peaches with ice cream - perfect summer dessert. Light and guilt-free, because hey, you're eating fruit with just a bit of ice cream. Hah.

Park Restaurant and Bar in Harvard Square (great food, giant portions):

Lobster and crab dip - sooo good. And finally, a place that gives you plenty of pita chips.
Salt and pepper shrimp - also delicious.
Bar steak - you can't tell, but those potatoes on the side are like potato wedges loaded with bacon and cheese. The salad was a bit salty though. Steak was solid.
Braised short rib - I laughed when this came out. It's huge. Also delicious, with perfectly braised meat. We had to pack up just about 5/6th of this dish.
Blueberry shortcake - interesting. Good. Way too full at this point.

Sura BBQ in Medford (decent selection, spotty service, dysfunctional ac):

Large pitcher of soju punch - with a giant wooden spoon. Kind of tasted like pink lemonade.
Cooking meat.
Scallion pancake.

BONUS:

Caramel latte and chai latte from Nero in the Seaport area.
