First, a stop at Nora's Fish Creek Inn, which is in the town next to Jackson, for brunch before the drive back to Utah. And the interior is exactly what you'd expect of a place bearing that name. Apparently, trout and eggs is a thing, somewhere. Interesting, but no thank you.
Banana bread french toast - really good without being too sweet or too heavy. The slices were thinner than I expected them to be, but not bad.
Harry's sides of bacon and sausage.
Edmund's omelet.
Harry's corned beef hash.
Tai's eggs, ham, and hash browns. This also came with a pancake that I apparently forgot to take a picture of. Oops. The hash browns were old and cold and not quite crunchy any more.
Overall, it's a quick brunch place. Decent.
After the drive back to Salt Lake, we go for a quick dinner at it's tofu. Mostly because everyone could use some Asian food.
Raspberry wine that was delicious.
Jun - which is a Korean seafood and scallion egg pancake. This was okay - I was really hungry. But the seafood could really have used salt/seasoning prior to being tossed into the pancake.
Stir-fried spicy rice cake - helloooo plainness. Seriously, no flavor at all except a bit of spiciness. Do not want.
Spicy pork and seafood tofu stew - the stew was not bad, but the pork was not good. Too thick, too bland.
Short ribs and kimchi and beef tofu stew.
Short ribs.
Japchae - also lacking in flavor.
The recurring theme here is: flavor please! At least some salt? But truly, would not go again. Also, the server, although she tried, was so awkward.
Our first full day in Utah started with brunch at Franck's Angel Cafe. Don't let the outside fool you, the food is pretty great.
Cute milk carton creamer!
Fresh squeezed orange juice - good, but $6 good? I'm not sure.
Berry pancakes - also good, but I expected more berries on top.
Edmund's omelet.
Rosa's croque madam.
Tai and Jessica got the French crepes.
Harry's eggs, sausage, and hash.
While a cute place overall, and pretty solid, I'm not sure I'd come back. A little too self-important and not really customer-friendly is the vibe I got.

We then spent the day sight-seeing and shopping, and then went for dinner at Takashi. By far, the best meal of the trip. With pretty cool decor as well. Drinks were also delicious.
Hanging lanterns.
With some branches thrown in.
Mixed greens salad - the dressing was really good, and I loved the apples and walnuts.
Miso soup.
Pork belly - this was soo good. The sauce had a hint of curry. And the purple ball in the corner is Japanese purple potato.
Shrimp tempura - I only ate the vegetables, but they were good. :)
Shishito peppers - okay. Not memorable.
Spicy seafood soup - this was fantastic. Perfect amount of spiciness. But also very filling.
Agedashi tofu - also delicious, but super filling as well. The broth was definitely on the salty side though.
Unagi nigiri.
Sebastian and spider makis.
Spicy hamachi maki.
Magic dragon maki.
Salmon and tuna sashimi.
The downtown roll.
Crepe.
Mango mousse. Really not my thing, but probably a texture thing for me.
Excellent meal. And really reasonably priced. Everything was just so good. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
The following two days were spent on the mountain - Snowbird, to be exact. And it was amaaazing. Wide trails, powder, sun. Everything you could want in a mountain. Plus a new mountaintop lodge that offers an incredible view.

From Hidden Peak at Snowbird |
Dinner after Day 1 of snowboarding was at Tosh's Ramen. Small place that gets quite busy.
Tokyo wings - but perhaps should be called chicken pops. Cute, good flavor, but I don't see how this is a wing.
Gyoza - okay.
Karai ramen with chashu.
Blend ramen - more appropriately, bland ramen. Meh.
Karai ramen.
People apparently love this place, but I don't get the appeal. I've had much better ramen.
Day 2 dinner (also our last dinner on this trip) was at Cucina Toscana. Really nice interior. Nice enough server.
Antipatissimo.
House salad.
Sea bass with clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops in a spicy tomato broth.
Veal with white truffle fondue.
Osso bucco.
Lasagne.
Plating my dish.
Tutta pasta - gnocchi and spinach ravioli. This was okay.
Tiramisu.
Chocolate gelato.
Creme brulee.
Cute mini hot chocolate with biscotti.
For our last meal in Utah, we went to Laid Back Poke Shack, where they serve Hawaiian-type poke bowls. The people here were so helpful, friendly, and fun. And the food was fantastic. They also let you taste test all of the day's offerings before deciding.
Tai's bowl with spicy snow crabmeat and spicy tuna.
My bowl with shoyu tuna and spicy salmon.
Really great way to end the trip. And just like that, my snowboarding season is over. Until December...
BONUS:
Chicago dog at Chicago Midway International Airport.
Crepe at LunaBerry in Salt Lake City. The good here - frozen yogurt. The not so good here - boba.
This is what your trunk looks like when you have six adults with six snowboards and six suitcases in one vehicle.
Pretty frost on the car window.
